Apply a small pea sized amount under each armpit. Rub in well like you would with a moisturiser, until absorbed into skin. Your armpits should feel dry after application.

This is not an antiperspirant and will not stop you sweating. Antiperspirants contain Aluminium and plug your pores which stops you sweating and at the same time prevents your body from expelling toxins.

Natural deodorant eliminates and prevents odor causing bacteria from surviving on your pits. It's the bacteria that when combined with sweat creates odor. Sweat has no smell. Therefore, when you sweat, which you are meant to do, you will not have any BO.

Please keep your tin in a cool place. If it does heat up, the consistency may be affected due to the shea butter warming up and than separating as parts of the shea butter cool down at different rates, resulting in little grains. This is a sign you are using a 100% natural product that does not contain synthetic emulsifiers. The little grains of shea butter dissolve upon being rubbed into the skin, the product is still perfectly fine and the effectiveness is not altered, it just does not feel as nice and smooth.

Initially you may go through a detox period if you are transitioning straight from an antiperspirant to a natural deodorant.

This can last 2 - 4 weeks.

During this period you may find yourself extra sweaty and you may experience BO.

What to expect:

Week 1 - Not much change, your pores are likely still restricted from your antiperspirant.

Week 2 - The pores will unclog and the amount of odor causing bacteria will drastically increase. You may find you're very sweaty and may experience some BO. This is the stage people generally decide that natural deodorant does not work and they reach for their antiperspirant. It's important to persevere during this time.

Week 3 - The odor causing bacteria settles down and stops over producing, resulting in a decrease in odor.

Week 4 - Your pits should now be adjusted to Natural Deodorant, you should not have any BO, sweating will reduce more over time.

You should only need to apply deodorant once daily which should last 24 hours. As time goes on it becomes more and more effective, some people may find after several months they only need apply every second day.

As we are all different, some people may not go through a detox period at all.
